Before you say goodbye to the year – do this

As we get closer to Christmas, our attention turns more and more to the new year. This year more than ever, we’re all keen for a fresh start.

We are all about looking ahead to the future, but before you turn your attention to your goals for the new year, lets take some time to have a look back on the year that was.

To put it politely, it was an abnormal year, but I’m sure that we all learnt plenty. Now is a great time to reflect on the year that’s been and celebrate our wins – no matter how small.

So, let’s take a look back and reflect, you might be surprised at how much you’ve achieved. Here’s some suggestions to get the ball rolling:

  1. What went right? Write down anything that you can keep doing that will help make your future fabulous
  2. What went wrong that was actually in your control? Is there anything that you learnt or areas that you know you can improve and grow?
  3. What went wrong that wasn’t in your control? Write these down on a separate piece of paper, reflect on them and then throw that piece of paper out. It’s important to acknowledge what went wrong however try not to dwell on these.
  4. Remember to celebrate your wins. You earnt them!

With the end of any year comes opportunity to start afresh and set new goals to help you on your way to being the person you want to be and living your life filled with everything that’s important to you.
